Ever since the inception of the Nike Air Max 97 back in 1997 and created by Christian Tresser, we have seen unique color options. The overall look is inspired by Japanese bullet trains, which resulted in the ‘Silver Bullet’ moniker. As of late, the model has received tasteful makeover, by way of materials and colors. Dropping for 2023, we have the ‘Multi Corduroy’ iteration that will be available exclusively in women’s sizing.

As mentioned, the highlight of this Air Max 97 is the use of corduroy, which not only adds texture but also introduces a range of captivating colors and patterns. Departing from the traditional Swoosh branding on the side panels, the shoe showcases a cursive ‘Air’ logo instead. Maroon leather overlays adorn the tongues, while a Tan leather stripe wraps around the shoe. Dark Teal nubuck embellishes the mudguard, accompanied by Pink exposed stitching for a touch of contrast. Additional details include a Sail midsole, a full-length Air Max unit, and a Black rubber outsole.

While Nike Sportswear commemorated the 35th Anniversary of the Air Max 1 in 2022, 2023 has continued to surprise fans with an abundance of releases. Particularly tailored for the warmer months, the iconic Air Max 1 silhouette will be prominently adorned in a vibrant Volt color scheme.

In addition to its vibrant color scheme, the Nike Air Max 1 distinguishes itself through the use of topographic patterns on the toe box, tongues, and collars, giving us a unique aesthetic. As the Air Max 1 continues to take storm in 2023, we look ahead at some of the new colorways that will be dropping for Fall. With the NFL coming soon, this iteration will be a perfect fit for Pittsburgh Steeler fans or even the Pirates.

Featuring a combination of White, University Gold, and Black, this Nike Air Max 1 model stands out with its striking color palette. The shoe is constructed with the customary mesh and suede materials, offering both breathability and texture. A White base sets the foundation, while Grey overlays add depth and dimension to the design. Black accents grace the mudguards, but the true standout element of this iteration is the vibrant University Gold, which appears on the Swoosh logos, top eyelets, Air Max unit, tongue, and insole branding, injecting a pop of boldness. As the Nike Air Max 95 approaches its 30th Anniversary, having been in existence for 28 years, it continues to captivate sneaker enthusiasts. Recognized for its design inspired by the human body, the Air Max 95 is commonly associated with its iconic Neon (Volt) colorway. Nike Sportswear plans to introduce a remix of the original iteration, appropriately named ‘Black Neon’. This release is scheduled for Fall 2023, offering fans a new look on the classic.

The Nike Air Max 95 showcased here features an attention-grabbing design with predominantly Black and Neon hues. Constructed using a combination of leather, mesh, and suede, the shoe showcases a consistent Black color scheme. The iconic gradient ribs are present on the panels, transitioning from Black to Light Grey, adding depth to the design. Neon Green accents play a significant role, appearing on the eyelets, tongue label, embroidered Swoosh on the ankle, visible Air Max units, insole branding, and in the middle of the outsole. This Nike Air Max 1 comes dressed in a Sail, Rugged Orange, Light Orewood Brown, and Sundial color combination. Utilizing premium materials like tumbled leather, suede, and textile mesh. Sail adorns most of the upper with Light Orewood Brown on the mudguard and Swoosh logos. Orange accents appear on the top eyelets, embroidered Nike branding on the heels, and in the mid-foot. Going back to 2003, Nike Sportswear launched the Air Max 1 ‘Chili’ that, nowadays, is considered a classic. 20 years later and the brand will release a similar colorway to the Air Max 1.

Looking closer, this Nike Air Max 1 comes dressed in a White, University Red, Pure Platinum, and Black color combination. Constructed with the usual mesh, suede, and nubuck throughout. Although the pairs are close, the difference here compared to the ‘Chili’ pair is a lighter shade of Grey is used on the overlays, and the colors used on the tongue labels are reversed. Next, Red fills in the Swoosh logos and Air unit, Black embroidered Nike Air appears on the heels, while a White and Black rubber sole finishes the look.
