Aimé Leon Dore founder, and creative director, Teddy Santis, was recently named the creative director of New Balance’s premium Made in USA line. Santis has had a large part in bringing the brand back in the face of sneakerheads due to its collaborations and unique color pallets. For our next viewing, he is back with another collaboration resulting in the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1906R that will debut in Fall/Winter 2023.
This New Balance 1906 by Aimé Leon Dore combines shades of Cream, Silver, and Green throughout. Constructed with mesh on the base and leather overlays. Next, the brand’s N-Lock system is used, which helps stabilize the lateral side and a TPU heel counter. ALD and NB branding adorns the tongue labels and insoles, while the signature New Balance branding is seen in the standard locations. Other details include a White midsole and a Dark Green rubber outsole.
